With Bob Butera, PhD Yoga Therapist, Kristen Butera, E-RYT 500 and
Erin Byron, MA Yoga Therapist
Have you experienced the unexplainable joy and peace that comes through meditation? Or are you frustrated with the challenge of quieting your mind, unable to connect to your true Self? Have you experienced the profound transformation that a weekend retreat can bring as we step outside of our usual patterns, habits and distractions and open to a new perspective?

Come join us for a weekend of awakening our heart and soul as we learn practical methods for deepening our meditation practice, and insights into how to better understand the esoteric aspects of eastern practices such as Yoga and meditation. This retreat is for everyone who wants to discover their own inner wisdom, bring that wisdom to every aspect of their lives, and experience the peace of contentment.

Participate with other like-minded people who seek to incorporate Yoga and meditation into their lives. A wonderful time for inner reflection, the weekend will include community sharing as well as silence, Yoga stretching, breathing, relaxation, and meditation.

Engage in the process of self-inquiry and understanding with expert teacher Robert Butera. All meditation methods are valid forms of practice, but they don't fit everyone alike. Meditation for Your Life explains the six basic forms and guides readers in identifying which ones suit them best. Questions and answers, exercises, and journaling engage readers in learning what steps they can take to make meditation (and its benefits) an enduring part of their lives. Wellness and inner calm are achievable goals with suitable meditation styles—using techniques of breathwork or visualization, mantra or devotion, mindfulness or contemplation. Includes special emphasis on overcoming frequent blocks to inner growth.

Robert Butera, Ph.D., M.Div., founder of the Yoga Life Institute in Devon, Penn., is the author of The Pure Heart of Yoga, and publisher of Yoga Living magazine. "Having never attended a yoga workshop, let alone a yoga retreat, I wasn't sure how the weekend would progress or even what I hoped to gain from our time with Bob. Within a few minutes of the workshop commencing Friday night, I knew that the weekend would be a unique and enriching experience. Bob's style of teaching was inclusive and well-adapted to a varied audience. I especially appreciated his humour and willingness to candidly share expeinces in his life (even difficult ones) in order to illustrate some of the concepts we discussed...Bob and Erin created a very safe environment where I believe everyone felt comfortable sharing their stories and asking questions...comments were [directed] to create an open learning environment where people were free to choose for themselves what best suited their own perspectives and experiences. I would definitely recommend future retreats led by Bob for anyone who wants to explore the concepts of yoga practice and/or self-exploration." ~Tamara

"The things I like best were the real life examples Dr. Bob gave and Dr. Bob's humour and easy way of explaining things." ~Karen

"I really enjoyed the integrated approach to the workshops. Having an opportunity to both listen to a lecture, draw on attendee experiences, as well as practice related yoga poses was for me, a good balance."

"The weekend was a perfect balance of detailed information, guided informational poses (practice), friendly community, and structured sharing time."

"I found [Bob] to be authentic, knowledgeable, experienced, thorough, perceptively aware, and kind. 10/10" ~Carolyn

"[Bob was] awesome! I gained so much knowledge...this was true, authentic information - the nuts and bolts without the fluff! His style of [presenting information] was great! It promoted self-growth and awareness for me! I will be sharing the information in my practice (Reiki Master) as well as using the grounding postures in meditation." ~Michelle T.
