Explore emotional wellbeing and psychological transformation!

  • Learn to accept emotions as they arise and process them at their roots
  • Decode the messages of your feelings to hone intuition and move with your soul’s calling Integrate the instinct/emotion/reason aspects of the mind with knowing/feeling/thinking aspects of the body
  • See the emotions in a broader context than outbursts or “reactions” - they have a purpose!
  • Discover how you can work with them to make powerful changes in your inner and outer worlds!

This Weekend Covers:
- The wisdom of the body, yoga poses, and relaxation
- Understanding of the koshas (whole person psychology)
- Exploring samskara (emotional patterns and wounds)
- The perspective of karma
- Neurobiology (the workings of the brain and recent research on emotions)
- Creative practices
- Small group processing
- Sound therapy and mantra
- Energy anatomy and the chakra system
- Yoga traditions and philosophy
Participants will experience seminar-style learning, yoga postures, breathing practices, visualization, relaxation, free movement, play, expressive arts, mantra, small-group processing, and optional large-group brainstorming. 14 hour CEU’s available.

AGENDA

Intention: To understand the relationship between mind and body states and overall health, and to mindfully apply yoga philosophy and practice to amplify health and wellbeing of the whole person.

Friday

6-9pm: Issues in Your Tissues

  • Overview of mind-body psychology
  • Yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation to experience the connection and begin the healing proce

Saturday

9-11am: Relationship Therapy for the Mind & Body

  • Stories of the mind creating sickness and healing
  • Decoding the process of change
  • Science of mind-body healing
  • Personal reflection exercises (relaxation, creativity & other awareness practices)

11:15am-1pm: Science of Nutrition for the Whole Person

  • Understand the ancient view of all of our “bodies” (there are 5)
  • The wheels of karma turning in the body
  • Scars in the brain (Yoga concept of Samskara relates to new neuroplasticity research)
  • Bija mantras to water the seeds of energetic health
  • Entire session woven with relaxation & healing/mindfulness visualizations
  • Asana practice for chakras & mind-body

2-3:30pm: Thinking/Feeling/Knowing

  • Interpreting the different areas of the body-mind complex
  • Relate to a personal stress
  • Practices to understand and remove the stress
  • Relate to previous philosophies: more relationships!
  • Neuroscience & why we do what we do
  • Asanas to experience and integrate

3:45-5pm: What your Right Brain Wants you to Understand

  • Entwining expression, science, and personal psychology
  • Create direct, measurable actions to cultivate a healthy inner environment
  • Full yoga practice to close the day and set tone for restful sleep

Sunday

9-10:30am: Soothing and Realizing

  • Understand how to connect the dots of what you realized
  • Integrative asana practice
  • Guided visualization for mind-body awareness and comfort
  • Personal contemplation

10:45-12pm: Moving Forward

  • Deconstructing internal hierarchies
  • Discover appropriate action
  • Psychology, neuroscience, and what your dog knows that you forgot
  • Closing circle
